MELANIA OPENS TRUMP'S FLORIDA RALLY WITH THE LORDS PRAYER

From The Hill

First lady Melania Trump kicked off her husband's rally on Saturday, pledging to pursue initiatives for "women and children around the world."

"I'm committed to creating and supporting initiatives dear to my heart, which will have impact on women and children all around the world," she said to a cheering crowd in Melbourne, Fla.

"My husband is creating a country of great safety and prosperity," said Melania, who also led the crowd in a prayer before ushering President Trump to the lectern.

Saturday's rally marked Trump's first rally since taking office last month, returning the president to a familiar position on the campaign trail.

Melania Trump has not yet moved into the White House and is currently living in New York with their son Barron, while he finishes out the school year.

Nevertheless, the first lady joined her husband in Washington this week to greet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara.
